New Delhi : LG Electronics, consumer durable major, on Thursday, said it plans to spend a considerable sum of Rs 1.24 crore annually on training engineers, and will undertake various programmes to enhance their customer service network.
LG has set up four training centers across India, namely, Greater Noida, Pune, Chennai and Kolkata and its training module will focus on the technical and behavioral aspects, over and above the field of training itself.
The company also plans to invest Rs 2.5 crore in 2006-07 for setting up more specialised service malls across the country.

LG to assemble LCD TVs in India
Keeping in view the high growth being seen in the premium colour televisions category, Korean consumer electronics major LG Electronics is planning to commence assembly of LCD (liquid crystal display) televisions in India this year.
