Noida rakes in Rs 2,500cr in record NCR land deal

Noida Development Authority has raked in over Rs 2,500 crore from sale of about 300 acre residential land to five builders — Unitech, Omaxe, Parsvnath, Ambience and IVCRL. The sale took place on Wednesday and this is the biggest amount bagged by an authority in one go. Recently, HUDA and DDA had closed deals worth about Rs 1,500 crore each for sale of plots for hospitality and commercial projects.

Unitech was the biggest buyer and grabbed two plots of 71 and 54 acre respectively for Rs 1050 crore. Parsvnath bought a 72 acre plot for Rs 602 crore, Omaxe a 37 acre plot for Rs 308 crore, Ambience got a 37.5 acre plot for Rs 323 crore and IVCRL won the bid for a 33 acre plot for Rs 274 crore.

NEW DELHI: The big daddy of land deals was bagged by Unitech builders on Tuesday when it bid Rs 1,582.88 crore for a 300-acre plot in Noida making it the highest sum pledged for a land transaction in the country. The land, on Noida-Greater Noida expressway, is to be developed as an elite, integrated township called Express City. K Ravindra Nayak, additional CEO of Noida authority, said DLF was the second highest bidder with Rs 1,401.48 crore. The reserve price for the 13.74 lakh sq m land was pegged at Rs 788.6 crore. Noida land deal: Irregularities alleged

The decision to sell land for more development in Noida has exposed major irregularities. The land of dreams for 5,000 families was sold by the Uttar Pradesh government to Unitech Limited for Rs 1,500 crores and is being dubbed as Indias biggest land deal.
