PM to inaugurate expo centre & mart
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would inaugurarte the India Expo Centre and Mart at Greater Noida on January six. The Mart which would serve as an international hub for business in handicrafts and handloom products, has been built with an investment of Rs 400 crore, a release said here on Monday. The Mart is designed on the lines of trade marts in Dallas, Atlanta and Sanghai. The Mart is owned by the special purpose vehicle company, India Exposition Mart, promoted by the Ministry of Textiles. Oriflame India in retail push
Oriflame India Private Limited, the Indian arm of Swedish direct selling cosmetics company Oriflame, will break even by the year 2008-09. It has invested over $20 million in the country over the past decade. Speaking to Business Standard, Tomas Eriksson, managing director of Oriflame India, said, "We have been present in India for ten years now and the company has invested a sum of over 20 million USD.
