Seven more ‘Melting Pots’ on the anvil by 2009

Penchants Food India Private Limited opened its concept food court, The Melting Pot at Shop-In-Park Mall, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi, recently. The company plans to come up with seven more Melting Point food courts at Vasant Kunj (in Delhi), Vaishali, Noida, Greater Noida (NCR), Meerut and Zeerakpur, near Chandigarh. It also plans to establish a pan India presence after consolidating its position in these locations.

Spread over 20,000 square feet of carpet area on the third floor of the newly built mall, Melting Pot boasts of eight display kitchens, which offer a variety of cuisines, ranging from various regional Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes to international cuisines like Chinese, European and American dishes. The food court also offers a dedicated kids zone (Hungama Kidz), and a pub called AD (After Dusk). It plans to open a night club, in about a month. Guests can expect a relaxed atmosphere, attentive service, private tables, bakery, coffee shop, fine wines and a special kids zone, says Rajiv Mehta, Director, Melting Pot, a unit of Penchants Food India Private Limited.

Housing majors defer mega projects

Hit by slowing housing demand and a severe liquidity crunch, real estate companies are scrambling to defer their projects, especially in and around metros.
