Choice Hotels India , a leading American chain of budget hotels has tied-up with Amrapali Real Estate Group for managing Clarion Inn & Suites in Greater Noida. With this project, the Amrapali Group makes a foray in the Hospitality sector.
The new property to be completed in the next 18─20 months, is being built in contemporary style and will offer modern amenities to business travelers. Located in a township spread over 22 acres, this new hotel will be the only one in Delhi and NCR, which would have 60 per cent of its rooms as suites.
The hotel will consist of 200 rooms, oriental restaurant with 80 covers and Indian restaurant with 50 covers, bar and coffee shop and discotheque, spa and swimming pool and banqueting and convention facility spread over 5000 sq. ft.

Eyeing the huge business potential, the UP government today announced its new hotel policy to attract hoteliers to invest in the state. The policy, approved by the cabinet today, gives exemption from luxury tax for five years to new hotels in UP, besides giving the status of industry to the hospitality sector. 28 imported cars seized in greater Noida
Twenty-eight imported luxury cars, belonging to business house Jaypee, have been seized by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence on charges of tax evasion amounting to crores of rupees, DRI sources said here today. DRI officials seized the cars, most of them Toyota, from the Golf Course Club of Jaypee group in greater Noida last evening after the business house failed to pay Rs 2.5 crore as import duty, the sources said. Taj Group to launch Taj Premium brand
According to ET, the Taj Group of Hotels plans to introduce a new hotel brand, Taj Premium, in place of its Taj Residency brand, which will be phased out. The first property under the new brand may launch by end August 2008. The brand will target upscale business clientele. Only those Taj Residency properties that are performing well will be rebranded as Taj Premium properties. Facilities such as Wi-Fi and business centres will be available.
